PRF Microneedling in Lakewood, CO

Your Body's Own Growth Factors. Amplified.

PRF microneedling combines two powerful regenerative treatments. Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin that stimulate your body’s natural healing response. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), prepared from a small sample of your own blood, is applied immediately after to deliver a concentrated dose of growth factors directly into the skin. Together they drive collagen production, accelerate cell turnover, and support deeper skin remodeling than microneedling alone.

Who This Is For

PRF microneedling at Lumera Health is a good fit if you want to take your microneedling results further with regenerative support, are dealing with acne scarring, deeper texture concerns, or pigmentation that has been slow to respond, prefer a treatment that uses your body’s own biology rather than synthetic ingredients, or are building a long-term skin health plan and want a treatment with cumulative benefits over time.

What to Expect

Step 1: Consultation

Megan reviews your skin concerns, skin type, and goals to confirm PRF microneedling is appropriate and determine the right treatment parameters for your skin.

Step 2: PRF Preparation

A small sample of your blood is drawn and processed using a centrifuge to concentrate platelets and growth factors into platelet-rich fibrin. No synthetic additives are used.

Step 3: Treatment

A topical numbing cream is applied for comfort. Microneedling is performed at the appropriate depth for your concern. The PRF is applied immediately after, allowing growth factors to absorb through the micro-channels. Treatment takes approximately 60 minutes.

Step 4: Recovery and Results

Expect redness and mild sensitivity for 24–48 hours. Collagen remodeling continues over 4–6 weeks following each session. Most patients benefit from a series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with visible improvement building progressively with each session.

PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is the next generation of PRP (platelet-rich plasma). PRF is processed without anticoagulants, which results in a higher concentration of growth factors and a slower, more sustained release into the tissue. At Lumera Health we use PRF because of its superior regenerative profile.
