Regular skin exams are an essential part of long-term skin health. Megan evaluates moles, lesions, and new or changing spots for early detection of skin cancer and other conditions. Annual skin checks are recommended for all patients regardless of cosmetic goals.

Unwanted or concerning moles and growths can be assessed and removed in office. Megan will evaluate any spot that has changed in size, shape, or color and recommend appropriate next steps.

Acne is a medical condition that affects patients of all ages. Megan builds individualized treatment plans around the type and cause of your breakouts, which may include prescription topicals, oral medications, chemical peels, dietary guidance, and supplement recommendations.

Pigmentation concerns including melasma, sun damage, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation are evaluated and treated with a combination of prescription skincare, clinical treatments, and sun protection guidance.

Megan evaluates and treats a range of skin conditions including rosacea, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, and general skin irritation. If your concern has a medical component, it will be addressed clinically.

No referral is required. You can book directly with Lumera Health for a medical skin care consultation.

Can Megan prescribe medications during my appointment?

Yes. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Megan can evaluate your skin, diagnose conditions, and prescribe topical and oral medications when clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are sent to your preferred pharmacy.

What happens during a skin check?

Megan performs a thorough head-to-toe examination of your skin, evaluating moles, lesions, and any new or changing spots. If something requires follow-up or removal, she will explain your options at the appointment.

Can I address both a medical skin concern and an aesthetic concern in the same visit?

Yes. Many patients at Lumera Health address both. Megan will assess your skin comprehensively and build a plan that covers both dimensions when appropriate.

Does Lumera Health accept insurance for medical skin care?

Lumera Health is not currently contracted with insurance providers. All services are self-pay. If you have a concern that may require insurance coverage, Megan can discuss appropriate referral options with you.
